Yatala – Alto Terrace & Kismet Court road reconstruction

Commencing: February 2021
Completion: June 2021 (weather permitting)
Cost: $4.1 million

Project information

The City will be reconstructing Alto Terrace and Kismet Court in Yatala, to improve the overall condition of the road surface and reduce the need for regular maintenance.

Construction details

  • Renewal of the road pavement along Alto Terrace for approximately 1200 metres
  • Renewal of the road pavement along Kismet Court for approximately 280 metres
  • Kerb and channel to be reconstructed to meet Council’s Land Development Guidelines
  • Driveways may require partial or full reconstruction. Those residents impacted will receive formal notification before any driveways are reconstructed
  • Stormwater pits to be upgraded to meet Council’s Land Development Guidelines
  • Construction currently scheduled to commence in late February and will be completed by June 2021, weather permitting.

Works will be completed during the day, Monday to Friday (and Saturday if required), 6am to 6pm.

During construction, there will be temporary changes to traffic conditions along Alto Terrace and Kismet Court. There will be no full road closures and access will be maintained at all times, however part road closures may be required, and some on-street parking may be temporarily unavailable. Traffic management will be in place.

We will continue to work with the community to minimise disruptions. However, local residents may be impacted by traffic disruptions, limited access, detours and construction noise and dust.

Please slow down around roadworks and take extra care in the area. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our city.

Benefits for the community

  • Improved road surface and amenity
  • A decrease in future maintenance works
