Project information

As part of our road reconstruction program we'll be resurfacing both sides of Old Pacific Highway (between Stanmore Road and Martens Street), Ozkleen Place and Kaycee Place. Stage 1 of this project will be completed between September and December 2019. There'll be a break in construction before Stage 2 commences in 2020 with dates to be confirmed.

Construction details

  • resurfacing approximately 1120 metres of Old Pacific Highway (between Stanmore Road and Martens Street), Ozkleen Place and Kaycee Place in both directions of travel
  • replace kerb and channel
  • upgrade stormwater grates
  • upgrade bus stops
  • upgrade footpaths.

Lane closures will be required and traffic management will be in place. One lane will remain open to allow traffic and access to side streets. Please slow down and take extra care in the area. We're working to minimise disruptions. However, local residents and businesses may notice construction noise, dust and additional lighting.

Civil works will be completed during the day between 6am and 6pm Monday to Saturday and resurfacing works during the night between 6pm and 6am Sunday to Friday. On street parking will be restricted along Old Pacific Highway, Ozkleen Place and Kaycee Place during construction. The footpath will remain open for pedestrians.

Benefits for the community

  • improved road surface and appearance
  • reduced need for regular maintenance.
