We can provide free research support to give you access to articles and resources on a wide range of subjects, as part of your membership of Gold Coast Libraries.

All our resources are available to access in libraries and you can use most of them from home with your member number and password.

Gold Coast history

Our Local Studies Library is the best place in the city to learn about the Gold Coast, past and present, with a unique collection of resources including vintage photographs and stories of places and people. Need a guest speaker on local history or inspiration for a display? Our librarians regularly visit schools to share the history of our city with students and teachers, and have developed a diverse range of presentations suitable for students at all levels.
