Commercial applications apply to the following property types:

  • multiple residential building
  • factory
  • industrial or warehouse building
  • multi-storey residential tower
  • unit complex
  • community title scheme development.

How to apply

Apply online using the relevant application form below for either a sewered or unsewered commercial application. A sewered property is one which is serviced by sewerage infrastructure, while unsewered is not serviced by sewerage infrastructure.

Your application will be processed within 10 business days.

Step 1.Gather your documents

You will need to submit the following information with your application:

For unsewered applications, you will need to also submit a Site and Soil Evaluation Report (Effluent Disposal Report).

Next steps

We will email you a receipt for your submission. The receipt includes a unique reference number. Use this number to track progress and quote when making enquiries.

If no further information is required to assess your application, a permit will be issued within 10 business days. Alternatively, the City will issue an information request for the additional information.

Once your application is approved, a permit to commence the work will be issued.

Book a plumbing inspection. Onsite inspection requests must be made in accordance with section 63 of the Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2019.
