Apply for a discount or concession on an existing dog registration

You can apply for the following fee discounts or concessions to an existing dog registration using the online form below:

  • animal is now desexed
  • now a member of Dogs Queensland
  • pension concession
  • senior or veteran fee relief.

You will need to provide supporting evidence with your application.

Step 1.Gather your documents

Depending on the type of concession or discount you are applying for, you will need to provide the following supporting documents with your application:

  • a copy of the sterilisation certificate or a Statutory Declaration declaring your dog has been desexed*
  • your Dogs Queensland membership number
  • Pension Concession Card
  • one of the following documents if you are 60 years or over (for Seniors Fee Relief):
    • Seniors card
    • Proof of age card
    • Driver's licence
    • Other documentation that has name and date of birth
  • Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) card (the dog owner must be the holder of the DVA card).

Please also download, print and complete the Statutory Declaration form from the Queensland Government publications portal if you are unable to provide any proof of your dog being desexed (i.e. no sterilisation certificate issued by a veterinary surgeon).

Submit your application at one of our customer service centres (Monday to Friday between 8.15am and 4.30pm).
